Seasonal Creative Writing Workshop at Glasgow Botanic Gardens: SPRING

Sunday 20th May, 11am-4pm

Seasonal Creative Writing: SPRING

For lovers of nature and of writing, this one-day workshop will explore both the many aspects of the Botanic Gardens and your own imaginative response. You will draw inspiration from the huge variety of different plants within the Gardens and the beautiful Kibble Palace--with exclusive access to the Filmy Fernhouse (not open to the public).
Whether you know the Gardens well or this is your first visit, you'll discover many of their fascinating secrets, then use these to write wonderful words. For instance, the plants in the Kibble Palace and glass houses come from all over the world, but did you know  that, while some are oblivious to the outdoor climate, others change with the seasons beyond the glass walls?
Nalini uses her many years of experience in teaching creative writing to give you a supportive and relaxed environment, with the time and space to respond to the Gardens. With insights gleaned from education officer Louise and botanical expert Andrew, she has developed fun, inspiring writing exercises for this unique, one-day event.
Turn over a new leaf with your creativity, explore seasonal changes and new beginnings. And there's even home baking. :-)
(The Spring workshop is the first in a series of four--watch this space for future workshops.)

The workshop is only £20 for the day.
